Vriginia M. Klinesmith, 93 formerly of Ellwood City pass away at the Passavant Health Care Center in Zelienople on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 3:05 PM. Born in Ambridge, PA on December 27, 1919, Virginia was the daughter of the late George Newton and Cora Essie Gifford Shrum. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Clinton Klinesmith who passed away on March 31, 1979. They were married on March 13, 1937. Virginia work at Schullion Trucking Co. as a cleaning lady and earlier as a clerk at Spoa's Market. She was a former member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Ellwood City. Virginia was a member of the Blue Star Mothers of America and was Department President for 3 years. Surviving are 7 children, Albert "Sonny" Klinesmith of Masa, AZ, Jack Klinesmith of Campbell, CA, Lois Nagel, Virginia L. Klinesmith and April Klinesmith all of New Castle, Catherine Hughes of Clarion, PA and Roberta Baldwin of Ellport, a brother, Donald Shrum of Columbus, OH, 27 Grandchildren, 48 Great Grandchildren and 13 Great Great Grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by 5 children, Carol Reynolds, Joann Lutz, Paul Klinesmith, Gregory Klinesmith and Linda Kane, 3 Grandchildren and 2 brothers, Oakey and Floyd Shrum. A Memorial Service will be held at Passavant Health Center on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 2 PM. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.
