Virginia "Jean" Yoho, 75, of 616 Hillcrest Drive, Ellwood City passed away on Monday, October 12th at 10:00 PM in the Haven. Born on April 10, 1934 in Ellwood City, Jean was the daughter of the late Vincent and Katherine Vadala Mettica. She retired from the Ellwood City Knitting Mill in 1980. Jean was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish. Her hobbies included sewing and working crossword puzzles, but most of all, she enjoyed watching her granddaughters play sports. She is survived by her husband, Gerald "Jerry" Yoho, whom she married on January 19, 1957, a son and daughter-in-law, Ross and Julie Yoho, a son, Tom Yoho, 2 grandchildren, Jennifer and Katelyn Yoho, all of Ellwood City, a brother and sister-in-law, Domenick and Brenda Mettica of Wexford, several nieces and nephews and many cousins. Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 14th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport. A Mass of of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th at 10:00 AM at Holy Redeemer Church with Fr. Lou Pascazi, celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Contributions can be made in Mrs. Yoho's name to the Ellwood City Area Public Library, 510 Crescent Avenue, Ellwood City.
