Thomas L. Saras, 71 of North Sewickley Twp. passed away at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 9:20 AM. Born on July 29, 1941 in Beaver Falls he was the son of the late David J. and Maude Altmeyer Saras. Thomas is survived by his wife, the former Leona Houk. They were married on July 16, 1960. He had worked at the B & W in Beaver Falls and Ambridge and later retired from Koppel Steel. He was a member of the Nostalgia Haulers Truck Club and enjoyed hunting. Tom and Leona enjoyed attending car cruises with his 1951 Ford F100 that he restored. Besides his wife Tom is survived by two children and their spouses, Thomas R. and Renee Saras of Ellwood City, Lesli Jo and Richard Couch of Koppel, 4 grandchildren, Nakita Saras, Aaron Couch, Kailie Saras and Joscelyn Couch, 4 great grandchildren, Mathew Frelin, Landon Veitz, Brody Veitz and Colton Stillwagon, 2 sisters, Thelma Eakin of Evans, GA and Vicky Casey of Beaver Falls and a brother, David Saras of Baden. He was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Eggensberger. As per keeping with Mr. Saras wishes services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Cremtory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport, PA.
