Sylvia M. Doak, 94 of 127 Duncan Ave., Ellport passed away at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler Twp. on September 9, 2012 at 4 AM. Born in Pittsburgh on August 29, 1918, Sylvia was the daughter of the late John H. and Sarah Holden Duxbury. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Doak on August 12, 1984. They were married on November 13, 1941. Sylvia is survived by three children and a daughter-in-law, Alice M. Doak of Ellport, Robert J. Doak, Jr. of Wampum and Dennis J. and Sharon Doak of Wampum, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Sylvia was preceded in death by a brother, John L Duxbury and two sisters, Margaret Hineman and Edith Capello. Family suggests memorial contributions can be made in Sylvia's name to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Dr., Butler, PA 16001. Arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory.
