Sylvia L. Curry

Sylvia L. Curry, 97 of 1000 Masonic Dr., Sewickley, PA formerly of Ellwood City passed away at her residence on November 5, 2009 at 7:45 P.M. She was born in Hastings, Cambria Co., Pennsylvania on December 21, 1911 to the late Ross & Pearle Dutra Spackman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin J. Curry and a son Ross E. Curry. She had retired as a payroll clerk at the Ellwood City Forge. She is survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, husband and son she was preceded in death by a grandson and a granddaughter. Private interment will be held in Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski, New York.

I am saddened to hear of Mrs. Curry's passing. After she moved from Ellwood City, she always sent cards and notes to my mother, and would try to visit when she was in the area. She was a one of those "true" neighbors who will not be forgotten. God bless her. Susan Goscewski

My mother Margaret Goscewski was Sylvia's long time neighbor from Line Avenue in Ellwood City. They shared some great times talking about family over coffee and sweets. Sylvia was a wonderful lady-she will be missed. Janice Loccisano
