Rose Magnifico, 97, of Ellwood City, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Trinity Oaks Care Center, Beaver. Born February 2, 1918, in Forrestville, Pa., she is the daughter of the late Alphonso and Vincenza (Colucci) Magnifico. Rose was a seamstress for the Ellwood City and Butler VA Hospitals. She was a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish, Ellwood City and a member of the Corona d'Italia. Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas (Mary) Magnifico, Ellwood City; a sister, Mae Contino, Ellwood City and several nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by two brothers, Domenick and Nick Magnifico and three sisters, Josephine Magnifico, Louise Perno, and Antonette Lobozzo. Friends may call at the JOSEPH A. TOMON JR. FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport, on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at Holy Redeemer Church on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 10 a.m. by Fr. Mark L. Thomas. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Mausoleum in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
