Ronald Prezioso, 90, of Farrell, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:44 PM at John XXIII Home in Hermitage.
Born in Farrell on December 14, 1927, Ron was the son of the late Michael (Prezioso) Prince and Madeline DelLosso Prezioso. Nicknamed “Speed”, he was a standout football player for Farrell High, graduating in 1945. He went on to play semi-pro football and baseball. Ron served in the Army Medical Corp in Japan from 1946-47 and returned home to work as a furnace operator in the annealing department at Sharon Steel. He retired in 1983 after 36 years of service. A member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Ron enjoyed golfing, vegetable gardening and especially flower gardening, and experimented with a variety of flowers in his yard every year.
Ron is survived by many nieces and nephews and three sisters-in-law; Virginia Prezioso, Wealthy Prince and Sally Prezioso.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Rotell and four brothers: Ralph, Richard and Michael Prezioso and Rudy Prince.
Friends will be received on Monday, December 18th from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at Tomon Funeral & Cremation Services in the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 E. State St., Sharon. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Farrell with Fr. Matthew Ruyechan. Interment will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.
