Robert M. "Bob" Meiter

Robert M. "Bob" Meiter, 74, formerly of North Sewickley Twp., passed away at the Providence Health Care Center in Beaver Falls on Thursday, January 10, 2019.

Born in Rochester, PA on February 2, 1944, Bob was the son of the late Martin M. and Mary Agnes Revay Meiter. Bob owned and operated with his brother, Meiter's Z-Bart in New Castle and until his retirement, owned and operated American Guardian. A member of the New Brighton Seventh-day Adventist Church, Bob was a true outdoorsman. Spending as much time as possible at his cabin on the Ottawa River in Chichester, Quebec, Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bob was a Veteran of the US Army.

Bob is survived by a sister, Mary Ann Nerti of New Castle, a two sisters-in-law, Velma Meiter of New Castle and Luella Meiter of Beaver Falls and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Dorothy Milchak and Norma Jean Ford and 2 brothers, Edward M. and William J. Meiter.

Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm. A Funeral Service will be offered at the Funeral Home at 8 pm Sunday with his Pastor Stewart Pepper.

Private interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
