Robert Gary Gallaher

Robert Gary Gallaher, 59, of Ellport passed away unexpectedly at the Ellwood City Hospital on Friday, December 16, 2011. Born in Ellwood City on April 22, 1952, Gary was the son of the late Andrew S. and Marguerite Taylor Gallaher. He was a 1971 graduate of Lincoln High School and a veteran of the US Army. Gary worked for 17 years as an equipment operator with John D'Angelo Excavating. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and David Bish of New Castle, a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Joyce Gallaher of Cranberry Twp., 6 nieces and nephews; Lorine Bish, Tracey Bish, Kelly Caresani, Allison Sutley, James Bish and Sherry Maslowski and 11 great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a nephew, David Bish II. Friends will be received on Monday, December 19th from 4 to 8 PM in the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 9:30 AM with Pastor Phillip Conklin of the First Church of God. Entombment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Gary's name to the Children's Hospital Free Care Fund at www.givetochildrens.org
