Richard C. Gaiser, 87, of 1680 Brighton Road, Ellwood City, passed away in his residence on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at 11:00 PM. Born in Butler, PA on September 30, 1921 Richard was the son of the late Wesley and Garnet Davis Gaiser. He retired in 1982 from Republic Steel where he worked as a salesman. During his retirement, he operated Gaiser's Notary in North Sewickley Township for 20 years. A Veteran of both WWII and Korea, Richard was a member of the Ellwood City Saxon Club, the Butler VFW Post 259 and the Butler Elks Lodge 170. He is survived by his wife, the former Linda Songer, whom he married on September 16, 1986, his children: William Gaiser of Wilmington, NC, Michael Gaiser of Caldwel, NJ, Denise McInerney of Dunwoody, GA, Darin Critchlow of Toccoa, GA, Todd Critchlow of LaVonia, GA, Johnna Simitoski of Butler, PA, Samantha Gaiser of Bellevue, PA and Catherine Songer of Ellwood City, and 13 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard C. Gaiser, Jr. and two brothers, Thomas and Robert Gaiser. Services were private. Arrangements were handled by the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.
