Rev. Howard O. Parker, Jr.

Rev. Howard O. Parker, Jr., 76, of Patricia Drive, Ellwood City, passed away in his residence on Monday, March 14, 2016. Born in New York City on February 16, 1940, Howard was the son of the late Howard and Violet Parker, Sr. He married the former Patricia Erbeck on June 20, 1965. Howard graduated from Bloomfield College and the New Brunswick Theological Seminary. He was ordained a Presbyterian Minister by the Monmouth Presbytery in 1967. Howard served at churches in New Jersey and Massachusetts before retiring from Knox Presbyterian Church in Ellwood City in 2002. Howard is survived by his wife, Patricia Parker, at home, two sons and daughters-in-law; Howard D. and Melissa Parker and Donald H. and Lauren Parker, all of Ellwood City, three grandchildren; L Cpl Derrik Parker, Shane Parker and Emily Parker and a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Rolf Linder of Wall, NJ. Friends will be received on Friday, March 18th from 10:00 am until noon at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at noon on Friday with Rev. Dr. William Jamieson of the Beaver Butler Presbytery. Interment will follow in Castleview Memorial Gardens.
