Raymond W. Shoaf, 84, of Cherry Hill Road, North Sewickley Twp., passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Trinity Care Center in Grove City. Born in Ellwood City on June 6, 1927 he was the son of the late Earl and Sylvia Main Shoaf. He married the former Helen Voland on February 15, 1949 and she preceded him in death on February 24, 2011. Raymond retired from the Ellwood City Forge after forty years as a machinist. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and a member Edgewood Baptist Church. Raymond is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Thomas and Carol Shoaf of Ellwood City and Ronald and Patti Shoaf of Beaver Falls, four grandchildren; Brook Balin, Bradley Shoaf, Kristin McKelvey and Michael Shoaf, five great-grandchildren; Dylan Shoaf, Kyleigh McKelvey, Doug Balin, Grace Balin and Logan Shoaf, a sister, Betsy Stefel of Beaver Falls and two brothers; Clayton Brown of West Pittsburg and Charles Brown of Ellwood City. In addition to his parents and his wife, Raymond was preceded in death by two sisters; Irene Gahagan and Norma Nagel and two brothers; Curtis and Ronald Shoaf. Friends will be received from 1:30 PM until the time of the memorial service at 3:30 PM on Sunday, April 15th at Edgewood Baptist Church. Arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorial contributions can be made in Raymond's name to Edgewood Baptist Church, 430 Edgewood Rd., Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
