Mary H. Brestelli, 87 of 52 S. Mercer Ave., Sharpsville passed away at the Countryside Convalescent Home in Mercer on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 5:40 A.M. Mary was born in MacAdoo, PA on June 1, 1924 to the late Michael and Mary Klembara Varsho. She had worked at Westinghouse, Wheaton and Sons Dry Cleaners and in the cafeteria at Sharpsville High School. She was a member of St. John's Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church. Mary was an avid bowler and bowled in several leagues in the Shenango Valley. She enjoyed dancing the Polka and was an avid baker. She also did exquisite needle work. She enjoyed watching her Steelers and Pirates but mostly spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary is survived by her five children, Denise Dillon and Mary Elaine Brestelli both of Hermitage, Carl James and Cheryl Brestelli of Traverse City, MI, Fernando Michael and Elise Brestelli of Waynesville, OH and Christopher Thomas and Virginia Brestelli of Westbrooke, CT, a sister, Anne Petrosky of Hermitage, a brother, George Varsho of Hermitage, 13 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Verna Zieminick, 3 brothers John, Joseph and Michael Varsho and a son-in-law, Eugene Dillon. Friends may call at the Tomon Funeral and Cremation Services in the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 E. State St., Sharon on Sunday from 6 to 8 P.M. A Panachida Service will be offered at 7:45 P.M. Sunday in the Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be offered at St. John's Orthodox Cemetery Chapel on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 11 A.M. by Fr. David Mastroberte. Interment will follow in St. John's Orthodox Cemetery.
