Mary Gaydos, 92, formerly of Woodview Place, Hermitage, passed away at St. John XXIII Home on the morning of Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Born in Jessy Hill, PA on December 20, 1923 she was the daughter of the late John and Ann Washic Tatusko. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Gaydos on April 18, 2009. They were married September 6, 1947. Mary worked at the A & P in Sharon as a butcher. She was a very active member of St. John's Orthodox Church where she and her husband were caretakers of the cemetery for several years. Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Frank Bair of Hermitage, a daughter-in-law, Hope Gaydos of Stoneboro, PA, 3 grandchildren; Corrie Gaydos, Laura Gaydos and Justin Bair, a great-grandson, five sisters; Katherine Yourema of Hermitage, Margie Ristvey of Edenboro,PA, Helen Cook of Hubbard, Delores Jisko of Sharon and Susan Susa of Las Vegas, NV, and three brothers; Peter Tatusko, of Hermitage, George Tatusko of Farrell and Joseph Tatusko of Hermitage. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Ken Gaydos, 2 brothers; John and Mike Tatusko and a sister, Ann Gaydos. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 3rd at 11:00 AM at St. John's Orthodox Church with Fr. David Mastroberte. Interment will follow in St. John's Orthodox Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Mary's name to St. John's Orthodox Church. Arrangements were entrusted to Tomon Funeral and Cremation Service.
