Martha F. Graef, 90 went to be with the Lord when she died peacefully in her sleep on June 5, 2012 at 7:24 AM. She was a resident of St. Paul's Nursing Home in Greenville, having formerly lived in Hermitage and Farrell. Martha was born on July 1, 1921 in Mittel-Lazisk, Poland to the late Oscar and Else Kramm Baumgaertel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Graef in 2004. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and formerly Grace Lutheran Church. She worked for the German Home and the Farrell Area School District on the maintenance staff. Martha enjoyed crafts, card clubs, cooking, sports and gardening. She was also involved in numerous organizations such as the Salvation Army, Senior Center, German Home and Saxon Club. Martha was a loving mother and grandmother and will be truly missed by her sons and daughter-in-law, U. Daniel and Tarri Graef of Warren, OH and Hartmut W. Graef of Australia as well as her grandchildren, Charles and Becky Graef, Michelle and Alan Chipka, Kim and Vincent Hartmann, Edward and Tracy Berry and Christina Farley and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Reinhold Baumgaertel. There will be a private viewing and service at the Tomon Funeral and Cremation Services in the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 E. State St., Sharon. Memorial contributions can be made in Marths's name to St. Paul Homes, 339 E. Jamestown Rd., Greenville, PA 16125 or Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 3325 Morefield Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148 for their outreach programs.
