Maria L. Jones

Maria L. Jones, 70 of 960 Mosser Dr., Shenango Twp. passed away at Allegheny General Hospital on April 5, 2011 at 12:35 A.M. She was born in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico on November 10, 1940 to the late David and Trinidad Guiago Salomon. Maria is survived by her husband, George R. Jones whom she married on June 10, 1985. She worked as a resident adviser at Life Management Consultants in Beaver Falls. She was also the former owner of Montgomery Wards in Ellwood City. Maria was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides her husband George she is survived by a daughter, Gina Viccari-Krebs and Rick Krebs of Industry, PA, 2 step-children, Rose and Dave Kineston of New Castle and George and Kathy Jones of St. Augustine, FL, 2 sons, Tony and Khristina Jewett of Cave City, AR and John and Marci Jewett of Ellwood City, 2 brothers, Frank and Benjamin Salomon of Nogales, AZ, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Manuel Solomon. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7th from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Holy Redeemer Church with Fr. Louis Pascazi. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
