Larry K. Toland

Larry K. Toland, 76 of 2890 River Rd., North Sewickley Twp. passed away on November 24, 2012 at 7:23 AM in the Ellwood City Hospital. Larry was born in Rocky River, OH on December 14, 1935 to the late Howard and Engor Sorenson Toland. He is survived by his wife, the former Zelda Thompson whom he married on June 16, 1961. Larry retired from Penn Power as a custodian after 17 years servce in 1994. Prior to his work at Penn Power he worked at the A&P in Ellwood City from 1954 to 1975. Larry was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Class of 1953. Besides his wife, Zelda Toland, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Randy Syphrit of Ellwood City, 2 grandchildren, Emily Toland and Josh Syphrit and a sister, Pat Shoaf of Ellwood City. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Toland. Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Tuesday from Noon to 1 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 1 PM with Rev. Calvin Cummings. Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made in Mr. Toland's name to Providence Baptist Church, 201 Chapel Dr., Ellwood City, PA 16117.
