Kylie Jean Coccia

June 19, 1978 — October 29, 2023

Kylie Jean Coccia, 45, of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, October 29th 2023 at UPMC Presbyterian after fighting a brain tumor for the past six months.

Born in Ellwood City on June 19, 1978, Kylie was the daughter of Eugene and Shirley Dolter Coccia with whom she resided.  She was a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church.  Kylie worked for over 25 years at the Ellwood City Children Center where she was in charge of the Toddler Room.  She was a member of the Ladies of the Saxon Club and Saxon Club Dart Team.  She enjoyed playing softball, swimming, waterskiing, boating and traveling, especially going on cruises.  She also enjoyed doing craft work, cooking and baking.  Kylie was a 1997 graduate of Lincoln High School and continued her education at Mercy Hospital completing courses in Child Care. Kylie was an organ donor.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her sister, Kelly Coccia of Pittsburgh, her special friend, Mike Germusa of Beaver, her aunts and uncles; Larry and Jayne Dolter of Ellwood City, Tom and Judy Kline of Ellwood City and David and Linda Coccia of Beaver, and numerous cousins whom she was close to.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rose and Victor Coccia and Glenn and Mary Dolter.

Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport on Wednesday, November 1st from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Redeemer Church on Thursday, November 2nd at 10 AM with Father Joseph Freedy presiding.

Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

Her family would like to thank the Children’s Center past and present employees, Saxon Club, Club Hope, Blochers Jewelers, Eric Ryan Corporation and all who have helped in any way.

Memorial contributions can be made in Kylie’s name to the Club Hope Foundation, 113 Collins Road, Ellwood City, PA 16117.
