Karl E. Meeker

March 26, 1943 — July 13, 2025

Karl E. Meeker, age 82, of Ellwood City, PA went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 13th.

Karl was born March 26, 1943 in Greeley, CO to the late Andrew Franklin and Blanche (Bailey) Meeker. He loved and missed the Rocky Mountains and time spent with family there.

He graduated from high school and business college, then was drafted into the Army. He proudly served in the U.S. and Korea as a chaplain’s assistant.

Karl worked at many jobs over the years, his first selling Spudnut donuts off his bicycle from 4th to 8th grade and his longest in quality control at S.J. Bailey & Sons, Walton, NY, for over two decades.

He was a member of Hope Community Reformed Presbyterian Church, having been baptized into the RP denomination as an infant. He loved to sing the Psalms and had a beautiful tenor voice.

In addition to his parents and his older brother Ken, Karl was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary whom he married in 1969 in Indianapolis, IN.

Karl and Mary decided to settle in Walton, NY to raise their family and be near other family and friends.
He will be greatly missed by his children and their spouses: Heather (Quinn) Metheny, Chris (Kat) Meeker, Greg (Lindsey) Meeker, and Andy (Nina) Meeker. He will also be missed by his ten grandchildren who brought him so much joy: Lydia, Ella, Haley, Elijah, Nate, Cam, Teaghan, Ani, Ellery, and Miller.

He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, many special cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 18th at 11 am at Hope Community RP Church, 3400 Fifth Ave., Beaver Falls, PA 15010.

Karl’s family would like to thank the staff members of Grane Hospice for their care and support.
