Julianne Lukac, 93, of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2026, at her home.
Born in Farrell on February 9, 1933, Julianne was the daughter of the late John and Kathryn (Mikilin) Uroseva. She was a 1951 graduate of Farrell High School. On February 6, 1954, she married Joseph Lukac, who preceded her in death on December 2, 1998.
A woman of deep faith, Julianne was a dedicated member of St. John’s Orthodox Church in Hermitage. While she was formerly employed by the old Sharon Store and Tastee Bakery, she found her greatest joy as a homemaker. She was well known for her mastery of home-cooked meals and her legendary Christmas cookies, which were frequently sought after for weddings and family celebrations.
Julianne also had a profound love for animals, a passion reflected in the many pets she cared for throughout her long and full life.
She is survived by her children: Steve (Natalie) Lukac of Hubbard; Kathleen (Fred) Meiss of Hermitage; and Mary Ann Stigliano, with whom she made her home. She also leaves behind her brother, Steve (Lana) Uroseva of Las Vegas, Nevada; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, JoAnn.
Friends will be received on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's Orthodox Church, 3180 Morefield Rd., Hermitage with Fr. David Mastroberte, celebrant. Interment will follow in St. John's Orthodox Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Julianne’s name to the Shenango Valley Animal Shelter or St. John’s Orthodox Church.
