Joseph Patrick Sheeler

Joseph “Butch” P. Sheeler, 82 of Ellport passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at the Butler VA Medical Center. Born in Ellwood City on August 1, 1941, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph H. and Anna Kiddon Sheeler. Joseph was a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church and a former caretaker of Holy Redeemer Cemetery. He was a Navy veteran and a member of the former VFW Post in Ellwood City. Joseph had also worked at the Butler Auto Auction and cut grass for many of his neighbors and friends. Joseph is survived by a daughter, Anna Marie Canady of Portsmouth, VA, a sister, JoAnn (Ken) Mohr of Struthers, OH, a brother, Harry “Pete” (Peggy) Sheeler of Ellport, 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by a brother, Michael M. Sheeler. Joseph will be interred at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA.
