Joseph D. Lordi, 93, of Ellwood City passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Born in Ellwood City on November 2, 1932, Joseph was the son of the late George E and Mary Rose Caminite Lordi. Joseph is survived by his wife, the former JoAnne M. Black whom he married on August 21, 1957. A retired Special Ed Teacher, Joseph taught at Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit, New Horizon and McGuire Home. In his early years, he worked at Jake Oswald Men’s Store. Joseph was an Army veteran. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and target shooting.
Besides his wife JoAnne, Joseph leaves 4 children, Joseph D. and Elaine Lordi of Ellport, George A. Lordi of Uniontown, Joni S. and David Fernbaugh of LaPlata, MD and D.J. Lordi and his fiancee, Anne Marie Barton of Ellwood City, a brother, Frank L. Lordi of Ellwood City, 19 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary T. Bartolomeo, 2 grandchildren, Daniel Bartolomeo and Joie Lordi, a daughter-in-law, Kimberly Sue Guy Lordi and 2 sisters, Theresa Lordi and Georgianne Parente.
Friends may call at The Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. and 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Cliff Reynolds.
Entombment will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
