John A. Deluca

John A. DeLuca, Sr., 74, of Laura Street, Chewton, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 12:45 PM in Allegheny General Hospital. John was born on October 27, 1939 in Ellwood City to the late Anthony and Mary Pratt DeLuca. He was a graduate of both Lincoln High School and Youngstown State University. John was a draftsman who worked at B&W in Koppel and later retired from General Motors in Lordstown, Ohio. He was Catholic by faith. John was a veteran of the US Army, and a member of the Chewton Polish White Eagles. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. John is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Michael Gibbons of Chewton, sons and daughters-in-law, John and Christine DeLuca of Chewton and Cory and Nikki DeLuca of North Sewickley Township, his grandchildren; Christie McCullough, Mandi Gibbons, Anthony DeLuca, Alaina DeLuca, Riley DeLuca and Giovanna DeLuca and two step-grandchildren, Travis Malz and Keyawna Harris. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a brother, Gene DeLuca. Services were private. Arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.
