Joan Leo

Joan Leo, 60, of Ellport, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023 in her residence following a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Born on November 18, 1962 in Mt. Lebanon, Joan was the daughter of the late Jim and Rosalie Vaglia Wold.  She retired from Andritz Herr-Voss Stamco as an accounting supervisor after 28 years.  Joan was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan.  She enjoyed camping, dancing and walking.  She absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Joan is survived by her husband, Albert Leo of Ellport, whom she married on September 25, 2004, three daughters; Linda McKnight of East Butler, Cyndi (John) Kosh of Portersville and Misty (Stan) Piecuch of Cleveland, two sisters, Nena (Bob) Ober of New Castle, PA and Susie Macy of Oakdale, PA, a brother, Jim (Stacey) Wold, Jr. of Canonsburg, PA and six grandchildren; Austin, Shayne, Makenzie, Ethan, Kora & Lucas.

Per Joan’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Her family suggests memorial contributions can be made in her name to either the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org or to the Wurtemburg Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 469, Ellwood City, PA 16117.
