James P. Knight

James P. Knight, 81 of North Sewickley Township passed away at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

Born in Ellwood City on June 5, 1942, James was the son of the late Paul Howard and Helen M. Pawol Knight.  He is survived by his wife, the former Debra Arkwright, whom he married on July 20, 1968.  James was a self-employed heavy equipment mechanic.  He enjoyed riding his Harley but mostly enjoyed his grandchildren and telling stories.  James was a 1961 graduate of Lincoln High School.

Besides his wife Debra Knight, James is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mathew and Lisa Knight of North Sewickley Township, 3 grandchildren, Stephen Griggle, Kacie Griggle and Grace-Ann Knight, a sister-in-law Linda Dixon of Lexington, NC and a brother-in-law, Chuck (Margaret) Arkwright of Perkinston, MS.

James was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Carrie A. Griggle, a sister, Joann M. Knight and 4 brother-in-laws, Robert Dixon, Dave, John and Jeff Arkwright.
