Ingrid Lydia Abraham, 81, of Wayne Township, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, in Holiday, Florida.

Born in Ingolstadt, Germany, Ingrid was the daughter of the late Edmund and Lydia Hummer Seufert. Ingrid is survived by her husband, Paul D. Abraham whom she married on June 5, 1957 in Bergrheinfeld, Germany. Ingrid graduated high school in Germany and later took accounting courses at Lawrence Co. VoTech. She worked at the Ellwood Knitting Mill, as an independent home healthcare aide and a part- time accounting and payroll clerk. In Ellwood City she was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Saxon Club and New Castle Elks Lodge. Ingrid was a former member of the Ellwood City Lioness Club, Wayne Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. Women's Auxiliary and Bell Memorial Presbyterian Church. In Holiday Florida, she was a member of the VFW and American Legion Women's Auxiliary and the AMVETS Women's Auxiliary and Bowling League.

Ingrid was a loving wife and mother, a loyal friend, an avid reader and a friend and caretaker of animals, pets and strays. She had traveled to more than 28 countries and loved talking to people.

In addition to her husband, Paul, Ingrid is survived by her children, Julie (Guy) Filewich of Elizabeth Twp., Robert (Tammy) Abraham of Ellwood City, 3 grandchildren, Cameron Filewich, Robert (Angelica) Shaffer of New Castle and DeAnna (Michael) Cancilla of Pittsburgh, 2 great grandchildren, Rayna and Illyana Shaffer, a sister, Luitgard Plymire of Cincinnati, OH and a sister-in-law, Gail Cowan of Pittsfield, PA.

A Celebration of Ingrid's Life will be held at the Ellwood Moose Lodge #93, 1400 Factory Avenue, Ellwood City on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 4 PM to 6 PM.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks that memorial donations be made in Ingrid's name to the Lawrence Co. Humane Society, PO Box 62, New Castle, PA 16103.
