Eugene H. D'Amico, 80 of Stiefel Ave., Franklin Twp. passed away a Evergreen Nursing Center in Harmony on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 5:10 P.M. Born in Ellwood City on May 11, 1932 to the late Michael and Emma Marino D'Amico, Eugene is survived by his wife the former Shirley McDonald whom he married on June 9, 1956. He had retired from the B&W, Ambridge Works as an Electrician and later owned and operated D'Amico Electrical Inspection for over 13 years. Eugene was a 1950 graduate of Lincoln High School and Veteran of the Army serving from 1953 through 1955. He was a member of the Ellwood City SOI Lodge 608, Ellwood City VFW Post and former member of the Ellwood City Rotary Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Steelers and spending time with his grandchildren. Besides his wife Shirley at home, he is survived by two sons and a daugher-in-law, Jeffrey G. and Julie D'Amico and Terry J. D'Amico both of Ellwood City, four grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Jonathan and Jullian D'Amico, a brother and his wife, Herman and Jane D'Amico of Ellwood City and two sister-in-laws, Janie D'Amico of Ellwood City and Inez D'Amico of Koppel. Eugene was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers, Mary DeAngelo, Henry, William, Albert and Domenick D'Amico. Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. A Blessing Service will be offered at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 11 A.M. by Fr. Mark L. Thomas. Full Military Rites will be offered by the Veteran's Honor Guard. Private interment will take place with the family at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
