Elvie R. Beck

Elvie Rodell Beck, 82, of 515 Palo Alto Drive, Perry Township, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler. Born in Westview, PA on October 18, 1928 she was the daughter of the late James and Ida Beatty Malone. She married Robert R. Beck on August 14, 1948 and he preceeded her in death on July 19, 1999. Mrs. Beck was a member of the Ellwood City congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Beck is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Sue Beck of Connoquennessing, PA, her daughter, Jeanine Beck of Perry Township, 2 grandchildren, Nathan and Hannah Beck, a sister, Ida Stewart of Gibsonia and a brother, Frank Malone of San Jacinto, CA. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceeded in death by a son, Robert R. Beck, Jr. and 4 brothers: Harry, Jim, Brice and Louis Malone. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 15th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 16th at the funeral home at 11 AM. Private interment will take place at United Cemeteries.

We will both miss our wonderful neighbor. So sorry we are out of town for calling hours and funeral services. We will see you when we get back but we want you to know we are sorry for your loss and we will remember Elvie for her kindness. A wonderful lady.

So sorry to hear about your mother. She was such a sweet lady. She had such a great sense of humor. Always would make you laugh. She was one of my mothers friends. We had her up to our home for lunch and enjoyed it a great deal. Soon she and your dad will wake up and never again say...."I am sick". Thinking of your family please know my thoughts and prayers go out to you at this difficult time.
