Dr. Helen K Kee

Dr. Helen K. Kee, 96, of LaMarque, Texas passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Orchard Park at Victory Lakes in League City, Texas.

Born in Ralphton, PA on March 29, 1927, Helen was the daughter of the late John and Mary Butchko Klutcher.  She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Kee.  Helen retired in 2000 from the University of Texas Medical Brach where she was a Professor of Management.  She was a member of St. John’s Orthodox Church in Hermitage.  Helen was a member of American Nurses Association, National League for Nursing and numerous other Nursing and Health Care Organizations.  Helen was a lifelong lover of animals and a board member of several animal organizations.  She was President and Executive Director of the Bay Area SPCA and founder of the Animal Alliance of Galveston County.

Helen is survived by her sister, Pauline Koval of Farrell and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by two sisters, Anne Vermeire and Mary Kraynok.

Friends will be received on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Orthodox Cemetery Chapel with Fr. David Mastroberte.

Interment will follow in St. John’s Orthodox Cemetery.
