Dianne M. Smith

Dianne M. Smith, 76, of Ellwood City, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Avalon Springs Place in Coolspring Township.
Born in New Castle on May 12, 1948, Dianne was the daughter of the late Clifford Deemer and Barbara Sheehy Gumminey.  She married Rodger Clair Smith on March 17, 1990 and he preceded her in death on June 9, 2014.  Dianne was a 1966 graduate of Riverside High School.  She retired from Ro-Mar Textiles in Ellport.
Dianne is survived by her children, Michelle Harter of Transfer, Robert Hickman of Portersville and Richard Hickman of Ellwood City, two sisters, Denise (Warren) Meyers of Ellwood City and Kathleen (William) Williams of Las Vegas, NV, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Dianne was preceded in death by a son, Michael Hickman, a brother, Randy Deemer and a daughter-in-law, Robin Hickman.
Friends will be received on Saturday, May 18th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.  A funeral service will follow the visitation at 8:00 PM with Rev. Bernard Tench, Jr. of Second Baptist Church.
Interment will take place in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery.
