David V. Francis

David V. Francis, Sr., 50, of 321 3rd Street, Ellwood City passed away in his residence on Wednesday, January 13th. Born in Ellwood City on September 19, 1959 he was the son of the late Merle and Katherine Hogue Francis. He formerly worked at American Bridge as a welder. David was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and had previously been involved with the Darlington Township Volunteer Fire Department. David was a proud father and grandfather. He is survived by a son, David V. Francis, Jr. of Ellwood City, two daughters, Aci Francis and Brooke Francis, and a son, Jimmy Francis, all of Darlington Township, a grandson, a sister, Tina Marie Francis Summers of Georgia and two brothers, Merle Francis of Ambridge, PA and Lee Francis of Portersville, PA. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by a brother, James Allen Francis. Friends will be received on Sunday, January 17th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport. A funeral service will be held directly following the visitation at 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
