
Cheryl Lynn Owens, 55, of Sagamore, PA, formerly of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at ACMH Hospital in Kittanning. Born in Cleveland, OH on September 21, 1955 she was the daughter of the late William L. and Elma Jean Foreman Owens. Cheryl was a 1973 graduate of Lincoln High School and was a Veteran of the US Army, serving from 1979 to 1981. She is survived by 4 sisters: Tammy Yepez, Kelly Honneffer and Barbara Garcia, all of Ellwood City and Tina McClintick of Enon Valley, 2 brothers, William John and Edward Owens, both of Ellwood City and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 12th at 6:00 PM at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Cable. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.

I was a classmate of Cheryl's at Walnut Ridge Elementary School and graduated with her in 1973. Cheryl was a sweet, shy and athletic child. She was well liked by all of her classmates. May her memory be a blessing and comfort to her family and friends in their time of grief.
