Charles R. Campbell, 53 of 809 Harmony-Fischer Avenue, Franklin Township passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Passavant Retirement Center on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 12:45 PM. Born on May 8, 1957 in Ellwood City, Charles is the son of Robert and Sara McLaughlin Campbell of Ellwood City. He worked in the steel yard at Koppel Steel for 15 years until his illness and was a 1974 graduate of Riverside High School. Charles was a member of the Sheffield Vet's Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and spending time in the mountains. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Beth and Tony Boffo of New Brighton, Todd Campbell of Ellwood City, Sherri Campbell of Ellwood City, 2 grandchildren, Ryan and Julia Boffo, 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Dave and Cindy Campbell and Dan and Lori Campbell, all of Ellwood City, his fiance, Kathy Shaffer of Sheffield, PA and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Campbell and a nephew, Bobby Campbell. Friends will be received on Saturday, November 20th from 7-9 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport. Memorial contributions can be made in Mr. Campbell's name to either V.N.A. Hospice, 154 Hindman Rd., Butler, PA 16001 or to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.

Remembering Chuck will always be a pleasure. He worked smart and hard with zeal. A great person to know; he enjoyed a good laugh and was fun to be around. He will surely be missed.
