Carol Ann Herko, 61, of Wampum passed away in her residence on Friday, July 20, 2018.
Born in Ellwood City on January 2, 1957, Carol was the daughter of the late Ralph and Sarah Hudspath Redmond. Carol was strong-willed and fun loving with a vibrant personality. She cared deeply about her family, friends and especially her patients at the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehab Center where she worked as an LPN. She enjoyed going to the casino, but her passion was for the beach.
Carol was loved by many and she will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Russell Herko, of Wampum, two daughters and sons-in-law; Carriesue Herko McAnallen and Lucas McAnallen, Jennifer (Waylon) Marshall, all of Wampum, two sons and daughters-in-law, James (Tonia) Kozora of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Jeremy (Mandy) Kozora of Wampum, eight grandchildren: Lucas R. McAnallen, Jr., Alexandria McAnallen, Zackary Marshall, Kelsey Kozora, Brittany Kozora, Ashley Kozora, Kristin Leggett and Makayla Kozora, one great-granddaughter, Bella Leggett, two sisters, Ann Kruger of Ellport and Susan Coblentz of Wampum, a brother, Merle Redmond of Wampum, and her beloved dog, Maxwell Agent 99.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Redmond.
Services for Carol were private.
Her family would like to thank Grane Hospice, especially Chrysta and Sarah for their compassion and their excellent care.
