Billie J. Lutz

Billie J. Lutz, 87, of Hermitage passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Quality Life Services Mercer.

Born in Panama City, Florida, on September 22, 1937, Billie was the daughter of the late Belle Tinsley.  Billie is survived by her husband of 68 years, Andrew D. Lutz.  She was a member of St. John’s Orthodox Church.  Billie was a race car enthusiast, she was known at all the local Mercer County area tracks.  She did everything from managing the track to selling tickets.  Billie was best known as an expert mechanic and engine builder.

Besides her husband, Andrew, Billie is survived by a son, Michael Lutz of Hermitage, a daughter, Diana Brest of McKees Rocks, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Billie was preceded in death by a son, Andy Lutz, Jr. and 2 sisters, Betty Lilacker and Berniece Tinsley.

Friends may call at St. John’s Orthodox Church in Hermitage on Monday, April 7, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM with Fr. David Mastroberte.

Interment will follow in St. John’s Orthodox Cemetery.
