Anna Rose Hassen

Anna Rose Hassen, 86, of Ellwood Road, Wayne Township passed away in her residence on Sunday, August 17, 2014. Born in Ellwood City on May 23, 1928 Anna was the daughter of the late Domenic and Mary Riccardi Dominelli. She married Mustapha Hassen on April 21, 1951 and he preceded her in death on January 19, 2003. Anna was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish. She served as treasurer of the Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary for many years. She attended Challenges and she enjoyed gardening. Most of all, Anna enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandsons. Anna is survived by her children and their spouses; Ronald and Mary Anne Hassen of Ellwood City, David and Valerie Hassen of South Beaver Twp., Patty and Ryan Kegel of Ellwood City, four grandsons and their spouses; Jason and Amber Hassen, Eric and Jennifer Hassen, Neil Hassen and Blake Hassen, a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Grace and Frank Ierino of Ellwood City, a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Shirley Dominelli of Ellwood City and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Anna was preceded in death by a sister, Sunday Cox. Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 19th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 20th at 10:00 AM at Holy Redeemer Church with Fr. Mark L. Thomas. Entombment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
