Ann Blasko, 84 of Sharon passed away at the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after a brief illness on June 13, 2009 at 1:55 P.M. She was born on May 12, 1925 in Stelbach (Tichij Potok) Czechoslovakia to the late Joseph & Anna Virosktek Blasko. She came to the United States in 1937 and attended Farrell Schools. She was a Westinghouse retiree and loved working in her garden. In her earlier years she belonged to several bowling leagues. She was a founding member of St. John's Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church and was a past volunteer of the pirohis crew. She is survived by two sisters, Mary Doyle of Farrell and Helen Blasko of Sharon and a brother and his wife, Joseph and Mary Blasko of Hartford, OH. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews with whom she was very close. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, John Blasko. Friends may call on Tuesday, June 16th from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service at 10 A.M. at St. John's Orthodox Cemetery Chapel in Hermitage with her pastor, Msgr. Michael Polanichka. Interment will follow in St. John's Orthodox Cemetery. Contributions can be made in Ann's name to the building fund at St. John's Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
