Amy D. Boy, 88, formerly of Ellport, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Hospice Beaver.

Born on June 6, 1934 in New Castle, Amy was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Gilbert Contos.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Boy, who died on September 3, 2018.  They were married on July 27, 1952.  Amy attended Christ Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Ellport Boosters and the Ellwood City Municipal Women’s Club.  Amy enjoyed entertaining and cooking for her friends and family.  She truly loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Amy is survived by her son William A. (Sheila) Boy of Ellport and her daughter, Sue Ellen Stoyanoff of Perry Township, 5 grandchildren, Kandis Boy, Sheila Dulaney, William Boy II, Allison Velasquez and Caitlyn Stoyanoff and 6 great grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Ralph Stoyanoff and 4 brothers, Butchie Contos, George Contos, Robert Rainey and Lou Rainey.

A funeral service will be held at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM with Rev. R. Tod Custer.

A private family viewing will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.

Family suggests memorial contributions can be made in Amy’s name to Christ Presbyterian Church.  They would also like to thank the staff at Providence Nursing Home for their compassion and care over the years.
