Sophie Herman

Sophie Herman, 88 of 26 North Jefferson Street, New Castle passed away at her residence Monday, September 26, 2011. She was born in Ellwood City on October 29, 1922 to the late Peter and Katherina Alesi Herman. Sophie retired from the dietary department of Jameson Memorial Hospital. She is preceded in death by a brother, Peter Herman, Jr. and a sister, Kathryn Calandriello. As per Sophie's wishes there will be no services. Arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorial contributions can be made in Sophie's name to the Ellwood Area Public Library.
